It's worth a try unless someone has an easier idea. Just tell me exactly where they need to be dumped. Jimmy I'll take those VST files for HALion One. I'd really like to get HALion One working and see my VST Instruments folder. I have no HALion One voices and my VST Instruments window is missing. Again, I only pulled back only the Content folder. I recovered all my SE VST files only never had the HALion One voices to begin with. Then, I went back to the recycle bin and pulled back only the Content folder and put it where it belongs as noted in the path above. I rebooted C6 Artist and for a while, the VST Instruments window did reappear. Steinberg Halion 6 Sampler Presets and Patches A great versatile sampler Halion 6 is Steinbergs sampler that is designed to compete with Native Instruments Kontakt sampler and other high-end professional samplers. So, where I stand right now: I did what Steinberg said and trashed everything in the Steinberg folder, including content. The folders are named Claps, Club Snares, Crunk Snares, Dance Snares, Distorted Snares. There are over 1.5Gb of samples organised into folders each containing between 60 and 500 individual snares. I guess that's "trashing preferences." But I'm also trashing VST Sound Files. Total Snare Drums (WAV, ACID, Kontakt, EXS24, HALion, Reason NN-XT, Apple AIFF). YET, Steinberg told me to delete everything in the Steinberg folder to solve my missing VST Instruments window. In Content, I have the HALion and VST Sound folders both are loaded with VST Sound files that relate to several of their plugins. So, logic tells me I should be able to use it, right?Īfter much wasteful playing around, I did note that I have all kinds of voices in AppData/Roaming/Steinberg/Content. A lot of the time of the time I’d like to know what presets share the same base samples for example. There’s a load of sampled sounds in there - some of them are really good, some of them are poor. LoFi Piano is an upright piano recorded with vintage microphones. I rarely miss the chance to download a free piano or any kind of LoFi plugin, so I was in straight away with both combined. I’m mostly talking about the sampled sounds in this post not the synthesis engines. LoFi Piano is an instrument library for HALion and works in the free HALion Sonic SE (which is why it reminded me of another free HALion piano). I have 6.0.7 and my disc comes with the H1 installer. I wish the presets in Halion 6 were better arranged / presented. Strange how the voices are essentialy discontinued in v5 and my Steinberg support guy doesn't appear to know it. OK, starting with Jimmy in replies 6 and 7:
